Navigate to booking option.

To start the booking process, you must first select the cemetery where the burial will take place.

Navigate to “Book Burial”.

The next step is to select "Book burial" from the menu options.

Book a Burial

From the “Book a burial” menu you are required to complete the following details:

  • Select the type of burial.

  • Select Undertaker
If you are an undertaker, you will not be able to make any selections under the “Select an undertaker” menu and selection will be automated to your organisation.
  • Request date and time of burial.

Please note requested date and time of burial is not guaranteed and is dependant based on availability.
Cemetery Staff are only notified of burial once the burial booking has been submitted with required supporting documents.

Create Burial Booking.

After completing “Book a Burial” menu, continue by clicking “Book Burial”.

Undertaker Booking Process completed:

Once you have clicked “Book a Burial” you will receive a pop-up message to notify you that burial has been successfully created. Additionally, please also check your email inbox for further communication.

After you have booked the funeral, you must now enter the necessary information to complete the funeral process.

Burial Edit

After creating the burial booking you will then be taken to burial edit screen in order for you to complete the following details:

  • Start: (Burial Details / Undertaker Proxy / Reopen Family grave.

To reopen a grave, family authorisation will be required. To complete this step, you will need to download the affidavit template, complete it, and upload it on the system
  • Informant details: (Contact / ID – Passport)

Informants email address and contact number details are optional and not required.

  • Deceased details. (Personal / ID – Passport)
    • Refer to HINTS below to find address

Deceased ID capturing will be hidden until deceased personal details are captured.

Complete Burial Edit

Once all sections of the burial booking process have been completed you can submit by clicking on the “Submit” menu button.

Submission comment box: You can enter a comment on clicking the submit button.

After completing the above sections, no further information is required from the undertaker. The cemetery will take further steps until the funeral is successfully completed.
Cemetery staff might reject certain sections that need to be re-recorded or documents that need to be resubmitted. Once the corrections are made, the cemetery staff will complete the booking of the burial.

HINTS – how to find the address:

1)  When entering a street address, start with the city name and a comma (e.g., Cape Town,).

2) The application uses Google maps, pick the nearest suburb name to match the address.

3) Download the app “Genius Scan” on your mobile. The app will enable individual and group photos and assist with the Upload function.

4) Enter the deceased name as per the RSA ID / Passport.

If the person is a revert to Islam, then enter the ID name & Muslim name as per the example:
